Using a memory card with Bitbrain EEG and biosignal devices
Bitbrain devices support to back up the data to a SD card to prevent data loss due to the wireless connectivity.
Bitbrain recommends using a Class 10 or higher microSD card, with a capacity of 8 GB. The Kingston 8GB (UHS-I 1, Class 10) card has been extensively tested with Bitbrain products.
Using a non-compatible card may lead to data loss.
SD card formatting: before the first usage of the SD cards, we recommend formatting the SD card using a 32KB allocation unit.
These are the steps to format an SD card via the File Explorer in Windows 10.
- Connect the desired SD card to your computer.
- Open de File Explorer and click on “This PC”.
- The SD card should be listed as a device. Right-click on it and then choose “Format”.
- A new window will be visible, you should select the following options:
- File system: FAT32 (default).
- Allocation unit: 32 KB.
- Quick format option unchecked.
- Click on the “Start” button.
