Compatible BCI Platforms via SennsLite LSL

Medusa, OpenViBE, BCI2000

Bitbrain devices can be integrated with third-party Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) and real-time biosignal processing platforms through Lab Streaming Layer (LSL).

LSL is a widely used framework that enables the transmission and synchronization of physiological data between acquisition hardware and external software applications, allowing Bitbrain devices to be incorporated into custom research workflows and real-time signal processing pipelines.

Bitbrain has verified compatibility via SennsLite LSL with the following BCI-oriented platforms:

  • MEDUSA© is an open-source platform designed to simplify the development and execution of BCI and neurotechnology experiments. It provides a modular framework for signal acquisition, processing, and application development, together with ready-to-use paradigms for BCI, neurofeedback, and cognitive research. It enables researchers to build, customize, and share new experimental workflows.
  • OpenViBE is an open-source platform for designing, testing, and running BCI and neuroscience experiments. Its visual workflow environment allows users to acquire, process, visualize, and classify biosignals in real time, supporting prototyping of BCI, neurofeedback, and research applications.
  • BCI2000 is an open-source software platform for BCI and neuroscience research. It enables real-time acquisition, signal processing, and synchronization of EEG and other biosignals while supporting stimulus presentation, feedback, and managing interaction with external devices such as robotic arms.

These platforms are developed and maintained by third parties and provide different capabilities for BCI research, experiment design, neurofeedback, and real-time signal processing. For more information about a specific platform, please consult its official documentation and website.

Note: Compatibility with the platforms listed above has been tested using SennsLite LSL. However, these applications are not developed, maintained, or supported by Bitbrain, and inclusion in this list does not imply official support of Bitbrain devices by platform developers. For platform-specific installation, configuration, licensing, and technical support, please refer to the official documentation provided by their respective developers.
