Cleaning and Storage Versatile EEG devices

Proper procedure for cleaning, maintaining and storing your Versatile EEG device (V8, V16, V32, V64)

Cleaning and Disinfection

(Running time: approx. 40 minutes. Drying time: approx. 4 hours).

The equipment, EEG cap, sensor bundle and amplifier must be disinfected.

To disinfect the EEG cap, follow the steps below:

  1. Remove the sensors (do not remove the silicone bases).

  2. Pour a 4% solution of Bomix Plus into a bucket. This is 45 ml of Bomix Plus per litre of
water. The water must be cold tap water.

  3. Inmerse the cap in bucket with the solution for 30 minutes. The solution must
completely cover the parts to be disinfected.

  4. Remove the cap and rinse thoroughly with cold tap water.

To disinfect the sensor bundle, use a Clinell wipe:

  1. Place the sensors in the base with holes.

  2. Apply the wipe one by one on the outside of the sensor housing, never on the inside. The
wipe must not touch the silver sensor. The surfaces must remain wet for 1 minute
counting the application time. The wipe should be applied lightly, always spreading the
wipe with the sensors upside down to ensure that no liquid leaks inside the device.

  3. Apply the Clinell wipe to the cables, running from the sensor to the connector (do not
apply to the inside of the connector, as this could damage the electronics).

  4. Apply to the clamp housing and cable, not on the sensor

To disinfect the amplifier:

  1. Apply the Clinell wipe to the entire housing of the device. Do not apply excessive
pressure with the wipe, as this may release liquid that could damage the device
internally. Do not insert the wipe into the connector, charging hole, sd slot or phot/dig
    slot.

Storage

Keep the Versatile EEG system in its original packaging and in a dry place when not in use.

If the device will not be used for an extended period, we recommend discharging the battery to 40-50% capacity.  Storing the device for more than a week at 100% charge could cause permanent capacity loss.

Recommended battery storage temperature range:
-10ºC to 35ºC (14ºF to 95ºF) for up to 1 month
-10ºC to 30ºC (14ºF to 86ºF) for up to 6 months
