Cleaning and Storage Minimal EEG devices

Proper procedure for cleaning, maintaining and storing your Minimal EEG devices (Diadem, Air, Hero)

Cleaning and Disinfection

(Running time: 1 minute. Drying time: 2 minutes)

The equipment should be cleaned: the EEG headset, the amplifier and the cable that
connects them.

To clean the EEG headset, use a Clinell wipe using the following procedure:

  1. Apply the wipe to the entire surface of the carcass inside and out. The
device has to remain wet for 1 minute counting the application time. Do not apply
excessive pressure with the wipe, as this may release liquid that could damage the
    device internally.

Regarding the application of the wipe over the sensors, the wipe should be applied lightly,
always spreading the wipe with the sensors upside down to ensure that no liquid leaks
    inside the device.

  2. Finally, apply to the clamp casing and the cable.

To disinfect the cable:

  1. Aplicar Apply the Clinell wipe over the entire cable, going from the connection to the
helmet to the connector (do not apply to the inside part of the connector, as this could
    damage the electronics)

To disinfect the amplifier:

  1. Apply the Clinell wipe to the entire housing of the device. Do not press too hard with the
wipe, this may release liquid which could damage the device internally. Do not insert the
wipe into the connector, charging hole, sd slot or phot/dig slot.

Storage

Keep the Dry EEG system on its provided stand or in its original packaging and in a dry place when not in use.

If the device will not be used for an extended period, we recommend discharging the battery to 40-50% capacity.  Storing the device for more than a week at 100% charge could cause permanent capacity loss.

Recommended battery storage temperature range:
-10ºC to 35ºC (14ºF to 95ºF) for up to 1 month
-10ºC to 30ºC (14ºF to 86ºF) for up to 6 months
